Our Curriculum

Kids at Heart teaches using the research based Creative Curriculum program. The Creative Curriculum focuses on critical learning objectives broken into 4 categories: social/emotional development, physical development, cognitive development and language development. This curriculum resource helps our teachers to create lesson plans that foster meaningful learning experiences, all while having fun!

Toddler Program

In the toddler program, your child will begin practicing independent skills in a fun and exciting environment centered around learning through play time! Our experienced toddler educators focus on teaching social, motor and language skills while your child explores their senses in a stimulating classroom. In the toddler rooms, we encourage our children to be curious and to fully discover their new world of walking, talking and eating solids, all while keeping them safe from their fearless adventures!

When your toddler begins showing signs of being ready to toilet train, our teachers are experts in potty training and will work closely with parents to help their children master toileting skills. 

Preschool Program

In the Preschool environment, our main goal is to prepare your child for Kindergarten. We run a daily schedule similar to that of a Kindergarten classroom, in the preschool setting. Children in this classroom will learn important kindergarten readiness skills in the critical areas of: reading, writing, math and social-emotional development. Students in our preschool program will even practice being responsible by taking home and returning a daily folder that often includes simple homework assignments or projects with deadlines.

Infant Program

Our loving caregivers let parents lead the way in the infant room. You determine your baby's eat, sleep and play routine. Our infant program promises to follow your schedule while nurturing and adoring your baby throughout the day in a safe and loving classroom environment. For nap time, your baby will have their own crib and bedding in a separate part of the classroom that is calm and quiet. During play time, your child will be stimulated by age-appropriate toys while we practice conquering important infant milestones by engaging in tummy time and other activities that encourage both brain and motor development! At mealtime, we support both breastmilk and formula fed babies. Once your baby starts eating solids, we provide meals for infants at every stage of experimenting with solids!
