Serving Johnson County
A fun, loving, learning environment
Both fire and tornado drills are held periodically to acquaint your child with evacuation and safety procedures. This may make quite an impression on your child the first time a drill is held, but he or she will soon become accustomed and know what to do. Kids at Heart is equipped with a state of the art electronic automated direct-dial fire alarm system. Fire extinguishers are placed throughout the facility. Tornado warning sirens are in close proximity and can easily be heard. Weather radios are used when necessary.
Regular tuition payments are required in cases of natural disasters or events that are out of our control. This also includes prolonged power outages and winter weather. Kids at Heart will always plan to be open however, if things beyond our control cause us to close, we will notify you via preschool2me app and our voicemail.
"We love Kids at Heart! My son is nearly 2 and has been attending since he was
9 weeks old. All the teachers are so caring and thoughtful. He is a happy little boy and loves seeing his friends every day. Would absolutely recommend sending your child here as well!”

Speak to a truly caring team
Each staff member is trained to observe symptoms of illness, neglect and child abuse. If a child shows any evidence of neglect or unusual injuries, Kids at Heart is required to report it to the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.
